Location: New York, NY Duration: 12 Months Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Audio-Visual (AV) Technician to provide technical support for audio and videoconferencing systems across offices throughout the five boroughs of New York City. The AV Technician will be responsible for supporting existing audiovisual systems, troubleshooting equipment, conducting site surveys, coordinating technology implementations and upgrades, and providing end-user training. The role will also support system design and project coordination for new and updated AV technologies, including videoconferencing, distance learning, and audio systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for audio and videoconferencing systems at offices throughout the five boroughs of NYC.
• Support Childstat at the Training Center and field offices.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment used for Childstat.
• Perform site surveys and diagnose issues related to moves, adds, changes, and repairs.
• Prepare technical requirements for new systems and system upgrades.
• Oversee the installation and implementation of new videoconferencing systems and conference-room upgrades.
• Review user requirements and develop detailed project plans for new system implementations.
• Attend project and stakeholder meetings as requested.
• Interface with telecommunications vendors to resolve technical issues and coordinate system upgrades.
• Provide guidance to staff on basic system operation and troubleshooting at remote locations.
• Coordinate the use of videoconferencing infrastructure to connect multiple parties to video conferences.
• Supervise the installation and troubleshooting of videoconferencing endpoints.
• Coordinate with client staff and Desktop Support Technicians to ensure videoconferencing requests are fulfilled.
• Consult with staff to develop instructional and operational materials.
• Provide end-user technical training on new and existing AV systems.
• Develop and support solutions involving videoconferencing, distance learning, and audio technologies.
• Communicate technical information effectively to management, both verbally and in writing.
• Perform field work at any client location within the five boroughs of New York City.

• Experience with streaming systems such as Qumu, Crestron, and AMX.
• Experience with Public Address (PA) systems.
• Experience with recording systems and audio equipment, including Shure and Lectrosonics wireless microphones.
