Captivate, LLC in La Mesa, CA is seeking an AV Installation Technician for full-time, on-site work. You will perform low-voltage cabling, device mounting, and basic networking, ensuring high-quality one-room AV setups and installations.

The role requires construction-site experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a background check for DCJS certification. Expect a rotating on-call service rotation and a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Pull/Terminate/Test Low-Voltage Cabling (Category, Fiber, Speaker, Lutron, Crestron)
• Mount devices at the ends of wires
• Build and lace equipment racks
• Complete one-room audio/video installs and setup
• Basic networking/data system installation and setup
• Advanced troubleshooting of simple systems
• Basic programming (Lutron Home/C4/Josh.ai)

AV Installation Technician

Reporting To: Steven, CEO

Compensation: $32.00 - $42.00 / hour

Description

You Are:

• A trustworthy individual. Hungry to learn and grow. Hands-on and love being in the field as opposed to being behind a desk. Technically inclined and always curious how things work.

You Have:

• Experience on construction sites. Ability to climb ladders, pull cabling, use power tools & hand tools. A steady work history (3yrs between hops), a pleasant disposition, High EQ.

Your Location:

• In-Person (Not Remote or Hybrid)
• 8107 Commercial St. La Mesa, CA 91942

Your Schedule:

• Full-Time | 40 Hours Per Week
• Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:00pm
• Plus rotating on-call service rotation

Your Manager:

• Steven, CEO

Your Contribution to Sound Automation:
