Job summary

Port City Sound and Security is seeking a hands-on Technician in Wilmington, NC. The role focuses on pulling and testing low-voltage cabling, mounting devices, and configuring control and lighting systems. A valid driver’s license and a reliable work history are required.

The position runs full-time, Monday–Friday, with a $23–$27 hourly wage and benefits including partial health insurance and IRA contributions. Based in the Wilmington area, projects span local sites.

Qualifications

• Experience on construction sites and ability to climb ladders, pull cabling, use power & hand tools.
• Must pass NC Alarm Board background check and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Pull/Terminate/Test Low-Voltage Cabling (Category, Fiber, Speaker, Lutron, Crestron)
• Mount devices at the ends of those wires
• Build and lace equipment racks
• Setup and configuration of devices
• Understanding of networks
• Troubleshooting of devices
• Work With Control & Lighting Systems (Control4, Crestron, Savant, Lutron)

Location: Wilmington, NC (PCSS)

Compensation: $23.00 - $27.00 / hour

You Are:

You Have:

• Experience on construction sites. Ability to climb ladders, pull cabling, use power tools & hand tools. A steady work history (3yrs between hops), a pleasant disposition, Hiqh EQ.

• Projects in and around Wilmington, NC

Your Schedule:

• Full Time (40hrs/Wk)
• Mon-Fri from 7:30am to 4:00pm
