Sight & Sound Systems in Dulles, VA is seeking a Lead AV Installation Technician to install home theatre systems and service residential security alarms. You will lead technicians in the field and configure devices, networks, and systems on residential projects.

The role requires hands-on capability, climbing ladders, cabling, and a proactive, team-first attitude. Competitive hourly pay with a company vehicle and comprehensive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience on construction sites and ability to climb ladders.
• Proficient in pulling cabling and using power/hand tools.
• Willing to lead technicians and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Pull, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (Category, Fiber, Speaker, Lutron).
• Mount devices at ends of cables (AV/Network/Control/Lighting/Shading).
• Build and lace equipment racks.
• Advanced setup and configuration of devices.
• Advanced understanding of networks.
• Advanced troubleshooting of devices.
• Activation and configuration of residential security alarm systems.
• Lead and guide fellow technicians to deliver projects.
• Programming (a plus).
• Client communication, support, and training.
• Pass background check to obtain Virginia DCJS license.

Lead AV Installation Technician

Department: Technician

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Dulles, VA (Sight & Sound Systems)

Reporting To: Amelia, Production Manager

Compensation: $35.00 - $40.00 / hour

Description

We are the contractor of choice for residential system integration services with several local and regional home builders in the Northern Virginia area. Technicians will have broad responsibility to install home theatre systems, and service residential security alarm systems.

You Are:

• A trustworthy individual. Hungry to learn and grow. Hands-on and love being in the field as opposed to being behind a desk. Technically inclined, leading teams, and always curious how things work.

You Have:

• Experience on construction sites. Ability to climb ladders, pull cabling, use power tools & hand tools. A steady work history (3yrs between hops), a pleasant disposition, High EQ.

Your Schedule:

• Hours Per Week: 40 Hours Per Week
• Days Per Week: Monday to Friday (8:00am-5:00pm)
