A local AV installation company in Wilmington, NC is seeking an AV Installation Technician to handle low-voltage cabling, device setup, and troubleshooting. We are seeking a trustworthy individual who is hungry to learn and grow, hands-on, and loves being in the field. The ideal candidate is technically inclined and always curious about how things work.

Department: Technician
Location: Wilmington, NC (PCSS)
Compensation: $25.00 - $40.00 / hour

Job Description:

• A trustworthy individual. Hungry to learn and grow. Hands-on and love being in the field as opposed to being behind a desk. Technically inclined and always curious how things work.

You Have:

• Experience on construction sites. Ability to climb ladders, pull cabling, use power tools & hand tools. A steady work history (3yrs between hops), a pleasant disposition, High EQ.

• Our Office: 6622 Gordon Rd # H, Wilmington, NC 28411
• Projects in and around Wilmington, NC

Your Schedule:

• Full Time (40hrs/Wk)
• Mon-Fri from 7:30am to 4:00pm

Your Contribution to Port City Sound:

• Pull/Terminate/Test Low-Voltage Cabling (Category, Fiber, Speaker, Lutron, Crestron)
• Mount devices at the ends of those wires
• Build and lace equipment racks
• Setup and configuration of devices
• Understanding of networks
• Troubleshooting of devices
• Programming of Control & Lighting Systems (Control4, Crestron, Savant, Lutron, etc)

Requirements & Abilities:

• Ability to lift 50lbs or more
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must pass NC Alarm Board background check

Port City Sound's Contribution to You:

• $25-$40/hr
