Job summary

Automated Lifestyles LLC is seeking an aspiring Low-Voltage Technician to learn installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of AV and low-voltage systems in residential and commercial settings. You will grow through hands-on training and mentorship, progressing from Apprentice into a skilled technician with structured training.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of low-voltage AV systems
• Learn device setup, configuration, and integration with networks
• Build and lace equipment racks for installations
• Stage products for installation and assist in warehouse tasks
• Progress from Apprentice to skilled technician through structured training

Description

Automated Lifestyles is seeking an aspiring Low-Voltage Technician to join our team. You will learn how to install, troubleshoot, and maintain low-voltage systems in residential and commercial settings. Through hands-on training and mentorship, you'll develop the skills to complete installations on time, on budget, and to our standards of quality and client satisfaction.

This role is designed as the entry point into a long-term career at Automated Lifestyles - with structured training to help you grow from Apprentice into a skilled, advanced technician. While you're learning, you'll spend a few hours a week assisting in the warehouse: staging product for orders, learning how to build equipment racks, inventory, and more.

You Are:

• A trustworthy individual. Hungry to learn and grow. Hands-on and love being in the field as opposed to being behind a desk. Technically inclined and always curious how things work.

You Have:

• A passion for technology and the ability to work with your hands. You want to play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and programming of sophisticated AV and Low-Voltage systems in luxury residential and commercial environments.

Your Location:

• In-Person (Not Remote or Hybrid)

Your Schedule:

• Hours Per Week: 40 Hours Per Week
• We run 4x10's (Three day weekend!)
• Days Per Week: Mon-Thurs 7:00am-5:00pm

You Will Learn How To:

• Pull/Terminate/Test Low-Voltage Cabling (Category, Fiber, Speaker, Lutron, Crestron)
• Mount devices at the ends of those wires
• Build and lace equipment racks
• Setup and configuration of devices
• Understanding of networks
• Troubleshooting of devices
• Stage products for installation
• Eventually Programming (Lutron/Crestron/Josh.ai/Networking/Security/Surveillance)

Requirements:

• An Interest in Commercial and/or Residential AV & Low-Voltage (Wiring & Installation)
• Familiarity with networking
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• +21 years old
