Job summary

Echo Workshop in Houston, TX is seeking a Skilled Low-Voltage Installation Technician. The role involves reading floor plans, pulling and terminating low-voltage cabling, and mounting devices across AV, network, lighting, and shading systems.

You will build racks, configure devices, troubleshoot, and program Lutron/Control4/Crestron/Savant/Vantage systems while training clients. Candidates should have 3+ years in residential/commercial AV, retrofit wiring skills, and a motivated, growth-oriented

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in residential/commercial AV installation.
• Experience on construction sites including wiring and pulling cabling.
• Retrofit skills including sheetrock cutting and wire fishing.

Responsibilities

• Read floor plans and technical documents.
• Pull, terminate and test low-voltage cabling (Cat5/6, fiber, speaker cabling).
• Mount AV/network/lighting devices at cable ends.
• Build and lace equipment racks.
• Configure devices and networks; troubleshoot advanced systems.
• Program Lutron/Control4/Crestron/Savant/Vantage systems.
• Train clients on system operation.

Compensation: $35.00 - $50.00 / hour

• Skilled Low-Voltage Installation Technician

You Are:

• A trustworthy individual. Hungry to learn and grow. Hands-on and love being in the field as opposed to being behind a desk. Technically inclined and always curious how things work.

You Have:

• Experience on construction sites. Ability to climb ladders, pull cabling, use power tools & hand tools. A steady work history (3yrs between hops), a pleasant disposition, Hiqh EQ.

• In-Person (Not Remote or Hybrid)

Your Schedule:

• Hours Per Week: 40 Hours Per Week
• Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm

• Read and interpret floor plans and technical documents
• Pull/Terminate/Test Low-Voltage Cabling (Category, Fiber, Speaker, Lutron)

• Advanced setup and configuration of devices
• Advanced understanding of networks
• Advanced troubleshooting of devices

• Speak Spanish (not required)
