Job summary

Solutionz, Inc. is seeking an AV Service Technician to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and optimize AV systems across corporate, education, healthcare, and government environments.

The role focuses on on-site service calls, preventive maintenance, and remote support, with a strong emphasis on clear communication under pressure. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues in conference rooms and classrooms, performing firmware updates, and supporting AV/UC workflows (Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms,

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience servicing or installing commercial AV systems.
• Working knowledge of AV signal flow, audio, video, and control fundamentals.
• Experience troubleshooting AV-over-IP and networked AV devices (IP addressing, VLANs, PoE, basic switch configuration).
• Familiarity with UC platforms and room systems (Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Webex).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve issues with conference rooms, boardrooms, classrooms, and digital signage.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and updates.
• Troubleshoot control systems, DSP, video distribution, and UC platforms.
• Provide remote support and triage via ticketing system; escalate as needed.
• Document work in ticketing system with root cause and resolutions.
• Update as-built docs, device inventories, and network info after service.
