Job summary

Encore is seeking a Technician to set up and operate basic audiovisual systems in a hospitality setting, ensuring guest satisfaction. This role reports to an Operations Manager or Director, Event Technology, and requires on-site presence in Orlando.

Responsibilities include precise setup, on-site operation, quick problem solving, and coordinating with clients and hotel staff. A High School diploma is required; an Associate’s degree is preferred. Prior AV or hospitality experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Needs to provide customer service in a hospitality setting.
• Experience in handling basic AV equipment and services.
• Must be able to troubleshoot simple equipment and software issues.
• Follows hotel procedures and coordinates with vendors as needed.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, operates, and breaks down basic audiovisual equipment per event requirements.
• Provides exceptional customer service and communicates with clients on site.
• Troubleshoots basic equipment and software issues as they arise.
• Documents orders and processes invoices with clients and internal staff.
• Follows hotel procedures and coordinates with vendors for equipment.
• Maintains safety and adheres to applicable DOT requirements.
