Job summary

Textron Systems in Hunt Valley, MD is seeking a 2027 Intern - Autonomy Engineer (Air Systems). You will work with the design team under the supervision of lead electrical engineers on Land Systems products, developing electrical concepts and CAD drawings.

This internship offers mentorship, hands-on project work, testing support, and exposure to simulations and engineering analyses. US citizenship with eligibility for a security clearance is required; 40 hours per week with occasional schedule

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Excellent written/verbal communication and proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with CAD tools and basic electrical concepts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with teams and products that support defense-related operations.
• Assist in developing electrical design concepts under senior engineers.
• CreateTechnical Data Packages and CAD drawings.
• Conduct performance calculations and simulations.
• Support testing, troubleshooting, and production build.
