Job summary

Anduril Industries in Massachusetts is seeking a software engineer to contribute to path planning and autonomous mission planning within our Battlespace Awareness Command and Control team.

You will prototype real-time planning algorithms, build high-performance C/C++/Rust code for field deployments, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver safe, scalable routing solutions for unmanned systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in algorithm design, software development, and mathematical modeling with C/C++ and/or Rust.
• Knowledge of path planning techniques (A*, D* Lite, RRT, PRM) and online replanning.
• Experience in guidance/navigation/control, trajectory optimization, or predictive models for vehicle dynamics.
• Solid math foundation: linear algebra, optimization, computational geometry, graph theory.
• Ability to write robust, concurrent code for planning under uncertainty in dynamic environments.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a small team applying path planning and route optimization.
• Prototype and deploy algorithms for global/local path planning and multi-agent coordination.
• Develop online real-time path planning that replans as conditions change.
• Design high-performance real-time C2 software for field platforms and autonomous routing.
• Implement robust planners and decision systems for safe, feasible routes.
