Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a senior software engineer to join the Battlespace Awareness Command and Control Software team, focusing on path planning, trajectory optimization, and multi-agent coordination for real-time autonomous missions.

You will prototype and deploy algorithms for global/local planning and integrate them into field-ready C2 systems, with an emphasis on concurrency and high-performance software. Eligibility for US security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in algorithm design, software development, and mathematical modeling.
• Expertise in path planning techniques (A*, D* Lite, RRT, RRT*, PRM) and online/real-time replanning.
• Experience with C/C++ and/or Rust for high-performance, safety-critical software; GNC and trajectory optimization knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute hands-on to a small, collaborative team within the Command and Control Software organization, applying growing expertise in path planning and route optimization.
• Prototype and deploy state-of-the-art algorithms for global/local path planning, trajectory optimization, and multi-agent coordination in C2 systems.
• Develop real-time path planning capabilities that replan safely as mission conditions change.
• Design high-performance software for real-time C2 systems deployed on field platforms, emphasizing asynchronous programming and reliable execution in resource-constrained environments.
• Implement robust planners, search algorithms, and decision-making systems for safe, feasible, and optimal routes in dynamic, contested environments.
• Analyze system performance using simulations and statistics to validate planner behavior across mission scenarios.
• Support customer success by implementing algorithms for mission-critical use cases such as collaborative autonomy and asset routing.
• Integrate path planning technologies into the broader command and control stack throughout development lifecycle.
