Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a technologist to lead a small team focusing on path planning, route optimization, and autonomous mission execution within a command and control software stack.

You will prototype high-performance algorithms for global/local planning and multi-agent coordination, develop real-time C2 software, and tailor solutions for mission-critical use cases across unmanned platforms.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in algorithm design, software development, and mathematical modeling.
• Knowledge of path planning techniques: A*/D* Lite, RRT/RRT*, PRM, lattice/grid planners.
• Experience in guidance, navigation, and control; trajectory optimization and predictive models for vehicle dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Define and influence the direction of a small team within the Command and Control Software organization, leveraging your subject-matter expertise in path planning and route optimization.
• Prototype and deploy state-of-the-art algorithms for global and local path planning, trajectory optimization, and multi-agent coordination within command and control systems.
• Develop high-performance software for real-time C2 systems, including mission planning tools and autonomous tasking/routing services.
• Design robust planners, search algorithms, and decision-making systems for safe, feasible routes in dynamic environments.
• Analyze system performance using simulations and statistical techniques to validate planner behavior across scenarios.
• Drive customer success by customizing algorithms for mission-critical use cases like collaborative autonomy and obstacle avoidance.
• Integrate path planning into the broader C2 software stack from requirements to testing.
