Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an experienced software technologist to join the Battlespace Awareness Command and Control Software team. You will contribute to path planning, trajectory optimization, and multi-agent coordination for real-time autonomous mission execution on C2 systems.

Design high-performance, concurrent code for planning under uncertainty, and work across lifecycles from prototyping to production on field-ready platforms.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in algorithm design, software development, and mathematical modeling with programming in C/C++ and/or Rust.
• Strong knowledge of path planning techniques (A*, D* Lite, RRT, PRM) and online/real-time replanning.
• Experience in guidance, navigation, and control (GNC); trajectory optimization and prediction; or predictive models for vehicle dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Contribute hands-on to a small, collaborative team within the Command and Control Software organization, applying your growing expertise in path planning and route optimization.
• Prototype and deploy state-of-the-art algorithms for global and local path planning, trajectory optimization, and multi-agent coordination within command and control systems.
• Help develop online (real-time) path planning capabilities that replan safely as mission conditions, threats, and vehicle states change.
• Design and develop high-performance software for real-time C2 systems deployed on field platforms, focusing on asynchronous programming and reliable execution in constrained environments.
• Implement robust planners, search algorithms, and decision-making systems that generate safe, feasible routes in dynamic environments.
• Analyze system performance using simulations and statistics to validate planner behavior across scenarios.
• Support customer success by implementing algorithms for collaborative autonomy, asset routing, and obstacle avoidance.
• Integrate path planning into the broader C2 software stack from requirements through testing and optimization.
