Job summary

TSMG is seeking Autonomous Vehicle Safety Operators to support testing, validation, and commercial deployment of robotaxi fleets across North America. You will monitor vehicle behaviour, intervene when needed, and join a collaborative team including engineering and depot staff.

No prior autonomous vehicle experience is required; extensive training is provided. This role offers opportunities to work on advanced AV technology and participate in fleet expansion across multiple cities.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Minimum 5 years of driving experience.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Ability to pass a background verification (BGV).
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screening.
• Excellent situational awareness and defensive driving skills.
• Upper-Intermediate English.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor autonomous vehicles during testing, validation, and commercial operations.
• Supervise self-driving system performance with awareness of traffic.
• Take immediate manual control when required by procedures or safety protocols.
• Complete assigned routes while complying with traffic laws and procedures.
• Support deployment of autonomous ride-hailing services with safe operation.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure readiness.
• Report damage, unusual vehicle behavior, or maintenance concerns to depot/technical teams.
• Record disengagements, observations, and events using company tools.
• Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation.
• Follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
