Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Autonomous Vehicle Fleet Supervisor to coordinate day-to-day field operations, ensuring the highest levels of customer service, efficiency, and safety. This on-site role involves guiding staff, managing driver check-ins, assigning tasks, and coordinating schedule rotations.

The position reports to the General Manager and requires strong safety discipline, interaction with officials, and performance of additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Willing to work in different shifts (24 hours).
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and guide field staff to maintain outstanding customer service and operational efficiency in a safe manner.
• Manage driver check-in processes, including readiness for the schedule and daily checklists.
• Supervise targets and adjust schedules for efficiency.
• Ensure drivers comply with procedural guidelines.
• Observe safety practices and take corrective action when required.
• Monitor break times to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist dispatch and depot managers during training sessions and meetings.
• Interact with officials on routine matters during shifts.
• Manage location under the direction of the General Manager.
• Participate in disciplinary actions, including discharge meetings.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
