Job summary

Aurora is seeking a Class A driver based in Midland, TX to support autonomous trucking development and pilot operations. You will spend 80% of shift in-vehicle, rotate through day and night shifts, and travel up to 50% as needed.

This six-month assignment requires at least 3 years of commercial driving, a valid US CDL, and the ability to work in a hybrid office setting. You will communicate clearly with engineers and participate in cross-functional projects while adhering to FMCSA and DOT

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of commercial truck driving experience.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License and Interstate Class-A CDL.
• Driving record must pass MVR guidelines and DOT qualifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Safely pilot autonomous semi trucks for on-road and closed-course testing.
• Monitor the Aurora Driver during extended autonomy and log real-time feedback.
• Escalate blockers with suggested solutions and collaborate with engineers.
• Work cross-functionally to drive progress on Aurora’s mission.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of self-driving tech and required access permissions.
