Job summary

Aurora in Midland, TX is seeking a Class A Driver for a 6-month assignment with potential to extend. You will help change the commercial trucking industry and deliver data to engineers to improve our autonomous vehicle platform.

The role requires safely piloting autonomous semi trucks, logging real-time feedback, and collaborating across teams. It includes rotating day/night shifts, up to 50% travel, and meeting FMCSA/DOT qualifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience driving trucks commercially.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License and Interstate Class-A CDL.
• Driving record must pass MVR guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to travel up to 50% and work night shifts.
• Must pass DOT physical and FMCSA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely pilot autonomous semi trucks for on-road and closed course testing.
• Log real-time feedback on autonomy and platform performance for engineers.
• Escalate blockers with suggested solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Aurora to drive progress.
• Maintain knowledge of how self-driving technology works and daily software changes.
