Job summary

Aurora is seeking a Class A Driver based in Phoenix, AZ for a 6-month assignment to pilot autonomous semi trucks and support driver operations. The role includes rotating day and night shifts and travel up to 50% as needed to advance Aurora’s pilot programs.

You will log feedback for engineers, maintain required certifications, and collaborate across teams to improve the Aurora Driver platform while upholding safety standards and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience driving trucks professionally.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License and Interstate Class-A CDL.
• Driving record must pass MVR guidelines.
• Must pass pre-employment, post-incident, and randomized drug testing per FMCSA.
• Able to travel up to 50% and work night/rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Safely pilot autonomous semi trucks for on-road and closed course testing.
• Log real-time feedback regarding autonomy and platform performance.
• Escalate operational blockers with suggested solutions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams to advance Aurora’s mission.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of how the self-driving tech works and safety protocols.
