Job summary

Aurora is seeking a Class A Driver based in Texas to pilot autonomous semi trucks during on-road and closed-course testing, contributing to our pilot operations and safety goals.

The role requires 3+ years of commercial truck experience, a valid US CDL, DOT qualifications, and willingness to travel up to 50% and work night shifts. This is a 6-month assignment with potential extension, in a hybrid office environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience driving trucks commercially.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License and Interstate Class-A CDL.
• DOT qualifications and ability to pass DOT physical.
• MVR screening and safe driving record required.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work night/rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Safely pilot autonomous semi trucks for testing and pilots.
• Monitor driver operations during autonomy and report issues.
• Log real-time feedback to engineers on platform performance.
• Escalate blockers with proposed solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance Aurora’s mission.
• Maintain up-to-date accounts and access on partner platforms.
• Achieve required certifications and adhere to safety policies.
