Job summary

Aurora is hiring a CDL A driver for our Autonomous Vehicle (AV) testing team in Houston, TX. You will operate Class 8 trucks with self-driving tech to map, test, and build the future of transportation, with up to 90% travel and a 6-month assignment with potential extension.

PM Shift in Houston: Thursday - Monday. You will follow strict DOT safety standards, assist with mission software, and collaborate closely with engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Interstate Class-A CDL required.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License in addition to CDL.
• DOT physical and FMCSA qualification standards.
• Pre-employment, post-incident, and random drug testing per FMCSA.
• MVR with acceptable driving record.
• Must be at least 25 years old.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety protocols and DOT regulations while representing the company.
• Operate truck and follow driving protocols to collect data for engineering teams.
• Occasionally work as a two-person team, manage mission software, troubleshoot equipment, monitor real-time data.
• Execute test missions to evaluate software changes on roads and test sites.
• Perform Pre-Trips and verify sensor calibrations for daily missions.
• Use onboard tools to flag or tag road events for engineers to review.
• Troubleshoot software modules and sensor connections with remote guidance.
