Job summary

BELFOR and BELFOR Franchise Group (BFG) seek an Intermediate Carpenter to provide on-site operational support for reconstruction projects. With extensive carpentry experience, you will work with BELFOR Estimators to develop scopes and run projects autonomously, expanding residential work to commercial and multi-family settings.

You will perform materials handling, containment, and finish carpentry tasks, travel as needed, and attend safety training.

Qualifications

Supervision of unskilled labor and occasional sub-contractors in residential settings.
Perform emergency services such as board ups and securing buildings.
Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and travel as required.

Responsibilities

Recognize potential problems with the project and request guidance as needed.
Move and protect contents without damage.
Construct containment for construction dust, dirt and airborne contaminants.
Perform floodcutting, salvaging and labeling baseboards, cabinets, doors, etc.
Attend and complete shrink wrap training and projects requiring shrink wrap.
Develop knowledge of insulation types, thickness and R-value.
Apply skills to Trim, Doors, Cabinetry, Insulation, Rough Framing, acoustical Ceilings, Roofing, and Siding.
Report time worked and materials used promptly.
Attend BELFOR safety training courses as required.
