Job summary

BELFOR is seeking an experienced Intermediate Carpenter to support reconstruction efforts. The role involves handling carpentry tasks with minimal supervision, assisting BELFOR Estimators with scope development, and autonomously running projects.

It also includes developing junior carpenters and expanding capabilities from residential to commercial and multi-family settings. Ideal candidates will have advanced carpentry skills across framing, cabinetry, trim, and related areas, plus willingness

Qualifications

Extensive carpentry experience required.
Supervise unskilled labor and coordinate with subcontractors when needed.
Maintain attention to detail and safety standards on site.

Responsibilities

Recognize potential problems with the project and timely request guidance.
Answer questions and direct complex queries to the appropriate resource.
Move and protect contents without damage.
Construct containment for dust, dirt and contaminants in the work area.
Perform tasks related to flood-cutting, salvaging and labeling baseboards, cabinets, doors, etc.
Complete shrink wrap training and apply it to projects.
Identify insulation types and their R-values.
Apply skills to trim, doors, cabinetry, insulation, framing, ceilings, roofing, siding.
Conduct daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections.
