Job summary

BELFOR is seeking an Intermediate Carpenter to support reconstruction efforts with extensive carpentry experience and the ability to work with minimal supervision. The role involves assisting with scope development with BELFOR Estimators and leading basic carpentry projects, expanding capabilities from residential to commercial work while performing emergency services when needed.

The position requires dedication to safety, customer service, and meeting project timelines, with occasional travel

Qualifications

• Extensive carpentry experience required.
• Ability to supervise basic BELFOR staff and occasional subcontractors in residential settings.
• Ability to work with little supervision and autonomously.
• Willingness to travel and work nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Recognize potential problems and request guidance as needed.
• Answer questions and direct complex queries to appropriate resources.
• Move and protect contents without damage.
• Construct containment for dust, dirt and contaminants in the work area.
• Perform floodcutting, salvaging and labeling of baseboards, cabinets and doors using BELFOR methods.
• Complete shrink wrap training and execute four shrink wrap projects.
