Job summary

Pep Boys in Charlotte, NC is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair tire and automotive services while delivering an excellent customer experience.

You will explain technical diagnoses to customers and coworkers, stay updated with evolving automotive technology, and help train teammates. A valid driver's license is required; ASE certifications are preferred. Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of automotive diagnostic, problem-solving, and repair experience.
• 2+ ASE certifications preferred (A4 Steering & Suspension, A5 Brakes).
• State Inspection license preferred, if applicable.
• Must have a valid driver's license and pass pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications—brake and hydraulic, exhaust, electrical, cooling, suspension and alignment.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs clearly to customers and coworkers as needed.
• Continuously learn new automotive techniques in formal or on-the-job training.
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe work area and assist fellow technicians.
