Job summary

Pep Boys in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Automotive Technician to inspect, diagnose and repair tire and automotive services while delivering excellent customer experiences. You will explain repairs to customers and co-workers, stay updated on evolving automotive tech, and mentor peers as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1+ year of repair experience, and ASE certifications are preferred. A valid driver’s license and potential state inspection license are also valued assets.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of automotive diagnostic and repair experience.
• ASE A4 and A5 certifications preferred; 609 certification preferred.
• State inspection license and valid driver’s license are pluses.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brakes, exhaust, electrical, cooling, suspension and alignments.
• Perform maintenance services and troubleshoot to specifications.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers and teammates.
• Learn new automotive techniques through formal training sessions.
