Job summary

Pep Boys in North Carolina seeks a skilled Technician to inspect, diagnose and repair tire and automotive services while delivering excellent customer experiences. You will clearly explain diagnoses and repairs to customers and coworkers, and stay current with evolving automotive technology.

You will train teammates, keep a clean, safe shop, follow all safety rules, and support store operations. Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, 1+ year diagnostic/repair experience, ASE certifications

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED required.
At least 1 year of automotive diagnostic/repair experience.
2+ ASE certifications preferred (A4, A5).
609 certification preferred.
State Inspection license if applicable.
Valid driver's license.
Background check successful.
Availability for days, nights, holidays, weekends.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair to specifications — brake/hydraulic, exhaust, electrical, cooling, suspension and alignment.
Perform maintenance services and support junior technicians.
Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers and non-mechanical staff.
Continuously learn new automotive techniques and technologies.
Maintain organized and safe work areas and assist teammates.
