Job summary

UPS is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. The role covers maintenance of delivery vehicles, heavy-duty tractors and trailers with diesel, gasoline and alternative propulsion systems.

You will troubleshoot and maintain brake, electrical, and engine systems, while meeting DOT requirements and adhering to safety protocols. The position requires a valid state driver’s license, willingness to work 2nd/3rd shifts, and ownership of personal hand tools.

Qualifications

• Active driver’s license issued by the state.
• Willing to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, including varied schedules across locations.
• Own the required hand tools for the job.
• Automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and PC.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements as per job assignment.
• Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently.
• Sits infrequently, as required.
• Exerts hand and arm movements for tasks.
• Operates standard and manual transmission.
• Operates power and pneumatic tools.
