Job summary

UPS is seeking a reliable Automotive Technician to join our fleet maintenance team in the United States. You will maintain a diverse range of vehicles, including delivery vans, heavy tractors, and trailers, with systems ranging from diesel to hybrid and electric where available.

The role requires hands-on diagnostics, regular tool use, and a commitment to safety. Candidates must have a valid US driver’s license and be available for 2nd or 3rd shift, depending on the location.

Qualifications

• Current documented automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.
• Possesses full complement of personal hand tools.
• Must be willing to obtain CLD within 60 days of hire.
• Dependable with ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a diverse fleet including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty tractors and trailers.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic brakes, electrical systems and engine controls.
• Operate standard/manual transmissions and power tools as required.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear PPE in all work conditions.
