Job summary

UPS in Texas is seeking a reliable Automotive Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. The Automotive Technician will maintain a diverse range of equipment, including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty on-road tractors, and trailers from various manufacturers.

These vehicles use diesel and gasoline propulsion and require troubleshooting across hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls.

Qualifications

• Current documented automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.
• Possesses full complement of personal hand tools.
• Class A/B CDL - Preferred.
• Diesel Tractor experience - Preferred.
• Dependable with ability to report to work regularly and complete scheduled day.
• Available to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements as assigned.
• Operate vehicles and equipment including transmissions.
• Use standard and pneumatic tools.
• Follow safety and maintenance procedures.
