Job summary

Big O Tires is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Missouri to supervise daily store operations, deliver outstanding customer service, and support the Store Manager with financial and administrative tasks. The role emphasizes teamwork, sales growth, and adherence to company policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the store, promoting services, training staff, and ensuring accurate cash handling, inventory, and reporting.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to obtain state driver’s license and permit within a year of hire
• Experience in retail or automotive sales/service
• Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
• Strong math and computer skills
• A willingness to work outdoors, weekends, holidays, and after hours
• Ability to meet pre-employment screenings and legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Supervise store operations and customer service efforts to meet company standards.
• Open and close the location on time according to store hours.
• Engage customers and staff to deliver positive experiences and promote services.
• Explain benefits of services and products to drive sales.
• Assist in training staff and implementing company programs and policies.
• Support store manager with financial tasks including P&L reviews and payroll projections.
• Monitor inventory and assist in replenishment and month-end counts.
• Prepare reports and participate in weekly store meetings on safety and policy updates.
• Strive to achieve budgeted sales, gross profit, and expense targets.
