Job summary

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Service Technician at Napleton Auto Park of Urbana to perform vehicle repair and maintenance in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This role builds customer loyalty by diagnosing vehicles and delivering quality service.

You will diagnose issues, communicate with parts and service advisors, and stay current with factory bulletins. The position offers a flat rate pay range of $22–$45 per hour, paid training, and competitive

Qualifications

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service and communication
• Valid driver’s license required
• Willingness to undergo background check and drug screen
• 18+ years of age or older

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance per repair order and standards.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer updates.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to non‑mechanical staff and customers.
• Stay updated with factory bulletins and training.
• Inform management of mechanical problems as they arise.
• Keep an organized, clean work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area
• Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
