Job summary

Ed Napleton Automotive Group's Napleton Ellwood City CDJR is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and preventive maintenance in accordance with dealer and factory standards.

You will diagnose issues, communicate with the Parts Department and Service Advisors, and maintain an organized work area while pursuing ongoing training and certifications.

Qualifications

• Automotive Service Technician experience required.
• Excellent customer service is expected.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Willingness to undergo a background check as per policy.
• 18+ years old to comply with driving policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance per repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Explain technical diagnoses and repairs to non-mechanical staff and customers.
• Stay updated on factory bulletins and participate in training classes as appropriate.
• Keep management informed of mechanical repair problems and maintain an organized workspace.

Located at Napleton's Ellwood City CDJR, theAutomotive Service Technicianwill be responsible for vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This position will build Customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in Napleton through effectively diagnosing vehicles.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
