Hyundai of Carmel, part of the Ed Napleton Automotive Group, is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance to dealer and factory standards. You will diagnose issues and communicate findings to customers and advisors.

Qualifications

• Automotive Service Technician experience required.
• ASE certification desirable or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service and strong communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance as outlined on repair order to dealer and factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and perform repairs accordingly.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and non-mechanical staff.
• Stay updated with factory technical bulletins and participate in training programs.
• Maintain an organized work area and promptly inform management of repair issues.

Located at Napleton Hyundai of Carmel.theAutomotive Service Technicianwill be responsible for vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This position will build Customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in Napleton through effectively diagnosing vehicles.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
