Job summary

Ed Napleton Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician located at North Palm Hyundai. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, while building customer trust through clear communication and expert workmanship.

Qualifications

• Experience as Automotive Service Technician.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to undergo background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair/maintenance per repair orders to standards.
• Coordinate with Parts and Service Advisors to manage production and communication.
• Diagnose malfunctions and complete repairs.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to non-technical staff and customers.
• Stay updated on factory bulletins and training.
• Notify management of repair problems as they occur.
• Maintain an organized, safe work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Located atNorth Palm Hyundai, theAutomotive Service Technicianwill be responsible for vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This position will build Customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in Napleton through effectively diagnosing vehicles.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area
• Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver's License
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
