Napleton's Arlington Heights CDJR is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance in line with dealer and factory standards, building trust with customers through accurate diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Automotive Service Technician experience required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid Driver’s License and background check willingness.
• 18+ years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance as outlined on repair orders per dealer and factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with factory bulletins and participate in training classes.
• Maintain an organized work area.

Located at Napleton's Arlington Heights CDJR, theAutomotive Service Technicianwill be responsible for vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This position will build Customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in Napleton through effectively diagnosing vehicles.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
