Job summary

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group seeks an Automotive Service Technician at Napleton Hyundai of Carmel in Indiana. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to dealer and factory standards, while building customer trust and loyalty through clear communication and quality work.

Qualifications

• Automotive Service Technician experience required.
• ASE certification desirable for advanced technician work.
• Excellent customer service skills are essential.

• Valid driver's license required; background check may be performed.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance as per repair orders to dealer and factory standards.
• Communicate with parts department and service advisors to manage production and customer updates.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Explain technical diagnoses and repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay updated with factory bulletins and trainer programs.
• Maintain an organized work area and report issues to management.

Located at Napleton Hyundai of Carmel.theAutomotive Service Technicianwill be responsible for vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
