Job summary

Napleton Hyundai of Carmel is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to perform vehicle repairs and maintenance per dealer and factory standards. You will diagnose issues, communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors, and help build customer trust through clear, accurate workmanship.

Qualifications

• Automotive Service Technician experience required; ASE certification desirable.
• Excellent customer service and strong communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license; willingness to undergo a background check as per local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance per repair order, with efficiency and accuracy.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to non‑mechanical individuals, including customers.
• Keep abreast of factory bulletins and participate in training classes as appropriate.
• Keep store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
• Maintain an organized work area.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver's License
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
