Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Service Manager in Sanford, ME. You will help lead the team to deliver a premium customer experience and ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed.

You will educate customers on vehicle conditions, coordinate training programs, and manage day-to-day operational tasks to drive high performance and adherence to VIP standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety, compliance, and management for automotive service operations.
• Two years of related automotive service management experience or equivalent.
• ASE certifications and state inspection license required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store in absence of the Service Manager and ensure safe, compliant operations.
• Educate customers on vehicle conditions using MPI findings and mileage data.
• Drive higher SAX scores through improved customer engagement and service delivery.
• Coordinate training: LMS, vendor courses, and ASE certifications for staff.
• Oversee dispatching and assignment of work orders to technicians.
• Attend meetings and trainings as needed, including off-site sessions.
