Job summary

FullSpeed Automotive is seeking a hands-on Assistant Manager in Eden Prairie, MN to support daily operations across the service bay, front counter, and back office. You will coach technicians and service advisors, ensure fast, high-quality service, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards.

The role emphasizes leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to manage peak periods while maintaining customer satisfaction and brand integrity.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a retail, automotive service, or customer-facing leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment that includes time in the service bay.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills; comfortable using point-of-sale and inventory systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred ASE certification(s) or willingness to obtain certifications as required by brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily operations in absence of Store Manager.
• Coach and motivate technicians and service advisors to deliver high-quality service.
• Assist with scheduling to ensure proper coverage during peak hours.
• Onboard and train new team members on procedures, POS systems, and customer service standards.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented environment reflecting brand values.
• Greet customers, explain services, and promote additional services per guidelines.
• Maintain store and shop organization, inventory, and safety compliance.
• Track daily sales, productivity, and KPIs to support store goals.
