Job summary

FullSpeed Automotive is seeking an Assistant Manager to support daily operations across service bay, front counter, and back office, ensuring fast, friendly, high-quality service.

You will lead by example, coach technicians and advisors, schedule coverage, onboard new team members, and maintain safety, cleanliness, and brand standards while driving customer satisfaction and store performance.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a retail, automotive service, or customer-facing leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment that includes time in the service bay.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some holidays.
• ASE certification(s) or willingness to obtain certifications as required by brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily operations, stepping in for the Store Manager when needed.
• Coach, train, and motivate technicians and service advisors to deliver high-quality service.
• Schedule team coverage during peak hours and busy seasons.
• Onboard and train new team members on procedures, POS systems, and customer service standards.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented environment reflecting brand values.
• Greet customers, explain services, and promote appropriate add-ons based on manufacturer guidelines.
• Assist with cash handling, POS transactions, and store inventory management.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop and customer areas in line with brand standards.
• Support tracking of daily sales, productivity, and KPIs to meet store goals.
• Promote safety and ensure proper handling of equipment and materials.
