Job summary

FullSpeed Automotive is seeking an Assistant Manager to help lead a fast-paced automotive service location. This hands-on role balances time between the service bay, front counter, and back office, supporting the Store Manager to deliver speed, quality, and trust to customers.

You will coach technicians and service advisors, manage daily store operations, and help optimize schedules, inventory, and safety compliance while building a positive team culture that customers and coworkers rely on.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in retail, automotive service, or customer-facing leadership.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work in fast-paced hands-on environment.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills; POS and inventory systems.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Availability for weekends/holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred ASE certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily operations in absence of Store Manager.
• Coach and motivate technicians and service advisors.
• Schedule team coverage during peak hours.
• Onboard new team members and train on procedures.
• Greet customers and explain services.
• Assist with store and shop operations, including cash handling.
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance.
• Track daily sales, productivity, and KPIs.
