Job summary

Pep Boys in Lawrenceville, GA is hiring a Customer Service - Sales Associate to engage customers at the service desk, sales floor, and register. You will provide product knowledge, schedule appointments, and help parts and service deliver peak vehicle performance.

Requirements include a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and at least one year in automotive service or sales. You will handle transactions, maintain shop organization, and uphold safety and customer care standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• One year of related experience in the automotive service environment.
• One year of sales experience preferred.
• Must have basic knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts (addition, subtraction, multiplication, percentages, fractions) and apply formulas for commissions/discounts.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work Days, Nights, Weekends, Holidays.

Responsibilities

• First contact for customers in-store or by phone, engaging, scheduling appointments, and upselling parts and service.
• Manage service work orders and register transactions; perform thorough vehicle inspections.
• Assist in various customer care activities, work orders, and store maintenance under management.
• Follow policies on cash, credit, checks, refunds and returns; address customer service issues.
• Perform express automotive services (tire mounting/balancing/rotations, oil changes, inspections) and ensure safety procedures.
• Maintain a safe, organized shop and adhere to company policies and safety/environmental rules.
• Act as a key holder with opening/closing responsibilities.
