Job summary

Pep Boys in Georgia is seeking a Service Associate to engage customers, schedule appointments, and drive parts and service sales at the service desk, on the sales floor, and at the register.

You will assist with work orders, perform routine express services, maintain a clean, safe shop, and collaborate with management to deliver outstanding customer care. Candidates should have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and at least one year of automotive service and sales experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• 1 year of related experience in automotive service.
• 1 year of sales experience preferred.
• Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts for commissions and discounts.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers in-store and over the phone, engaging customers, scheduling appointments, and selling parts and service.
• Organize and manage service work orders and register transactions; support thorough vehicle inspections and knowledge of parts and services.
• Assist in various aspects of customer care, work order/register assistance, facility maintenance, and Outside Purchase ordering.
• Follow policies related to cash, credit, refunds, and returns; address customer service issues and opportunities.
• Perform express automotive services (oil changes, tire mounting/balancing, rotations, etc.) and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Support management to maintain a safe, compliant work environment and orderly shop.
• Communicate effectively with associates, management, and customers.
