Job summary

Pep Boys is hiring for a Customer Service Associate to engage customers in-store and over the phone, schedule appointments, and sell parts and services to keep vehicles running at peak efficiency. You will handle work orders, register transactions, and contribute to a safe, organized shop environment.

Role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and at least 1 year in automotive service or sales.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• One year of related experience in the automotive service environment.
• One year of sales experience preferred.
• Must have basic knowledge of mathematical concepts and apply them to commissions and discounts.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work Days, Nights, Weekends, Holidays.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers on the phone and in the store, engaging and selling parts and service.
• Organize and manage service business through work orders and register transactions.
• Assist management with customer care, work orders, and store operations.
• Follow policies related to cash, credit, checks, refunds and returns; address issues as they arise.
• Perform express automotive services including tire work, oil changes, fluids, and vehicle inspections.
• Maintain safety, shop cleanliness, and orderly work environment.
• Communicate effectively with associates, management and customers.
• Open and close procedures as a key holder.
