Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a customer-focused associate to support service desk, sales floor, and register operations in Suwanee, GA. You will engage customers, schedule appointments, and sell parts and services to keep customers’ vehicles running at peak efficiency.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy in transactions, and teamwork across the store. Prior automotive service and sales experience is preferred along with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• One year of related experience in the automotive service environment.
• One year of sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers by phone and in-store; engage customers, schedule appointments, build trust, understand needs, communicate processes and timelines, and sell parts and service that improve vehicle performance.
• Organize and manage service business via work orders and register transactions, thorough vehicle inspections, and knowledge of service and replacement parts.
• Assist management with customer care, work orders, register assistance, facility maintenance, and Outside Purchase ordering.
• Follow policies on cash, credit, checks, refunds and returns; address customer service issues and opportunities with the management team.
• Conduct express automotive services (e.g., tire mounting/balancing/rotations, oil changes, fluid top-offs, lubrications, filters/bulbs, battery installation, testing, cosmetic services) and perform thorough vehicle inspections.
• Lead safety procedures to ensure wheel torque and oil/fluids are serviced per SOPs.
• Maintain a safe, healthy work environment in line with laws and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with associates, management, and customers; interpret and retain information.
• In some locations, may have opening/closing responsibilities as secondary key carrier.
• Keep a neat and organized shop; adhere to all policies, safety and environmental rules.
• Other duties as assigned.
