Job summary

The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack LLC is seeking a service desk associate to engage customers, schedule appointments, and sell parts and services. You will handle transactions, assist with vehicle inspections, and help maintain an organized store environment.

Role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and about a year of automotive service or sales experience. It offers hourly pay with part-time opportunities and a benefits package where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• One year of related experience in the automotive service environment.
• One year of sales experience preferred.
• Must have basic math concepts for commissions and discounts.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers on the phone and in the store, engages customers, schedules appointments, and sells parts and service.
• Responsible for organization and productivity of the service business through work orders and register transactions, and knowledge of parts and service.
• Assist in various aspects of customer care, work order and register assistance, and store maintenance under management.
• Follow policies related to cash, credit, and returns; address customer service issues and opportunities.
• Perform express automotive services such as tire mounting, balancing, rotations, oil changes, fluid top-offs, replacements, and inspections.
• Help ensure safety procedures and proper wheel torque and oil/fluid services per SOPs.
• Collaborate with Management to maintain a safe, healthy work environment compliant with laws and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with associates, management, and customers; relay and apply information accurately.
• In some locations, may perform basic opening and closing responsibilities.
• Maintain an organized and neat shop and adhere to all policies and safety rules.
• Other duties as assigned.
