Job summary

The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack of California is looking for an enthusiastic service desk associate to greet customers, schedule appointments, and upsell parts and services that keep cars running at peak efficiency.

You’ll be the first contact, handling store and phone inquiries, processing transactions, and ensuring safety and accuracy in every interaction. This role supports overall store operations and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• 1 year of related experience in automotive service preferred.
• 1 year of sales experience preferred.
• Basic math skills to calculate commissions and discounts.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers on the phone and in the store; engage customers, schedule appointments, and sell parts and service.
• Organize and manage service business through work orders and register transactions.
• Assist in customer care, work orders, facility maintenance, and purchase ordering as directed.
• Follow cash, credit, refund, and return policies and address customer issues.
• Perform express automotive services and thorough vehicle inspections.
