Job summary

Pep Boys Inc. is seeking a customer-focused team member to assist at the service desk, on the sales floor, and at the register. You will greet customers, schedule appointments, and recommend parts and services to keep vehicles running smoothly.

The role emphasizes strong communication, basic math for transactions and discounts, and adherence to cash policies. A driver’s license and a high school diploma are required, with at least one year in retail or automotive service preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• 1 year of related experience in automotive service environment preferred.
• 1 year of sales experience preferred.
• Ability to apply basic math to calculate commissions and discounts.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers in-store and by phone, engaging customers and selling parts and services.
• Organize and transact service desk, register, and point-of-sale activities to support store operations.
• Assist management with customer care, work orders, and basic store maintenance tasks.
• Follow cash, credit, refund, and return policies and handle customer issues per policy.
• Perform express automotive services when needed and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Communicate effectively with associates, management, and customers and support opening/closing duties where required.
• Maintain a neat, organized shop and adhere to all company policies and safety rules.
