Job summary

The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack LLC is seeking an energetic automotive service desk associate to engage customers, schedule appointments, and drive parts and service sales on the sales floor, service desk, and register.

You will manage work orders, perform routine express services, uphold safety standards, and collaborate with management to maintain a clean, organized shop while delivering excellent customer care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver\'s License.
• One year of related experience in the automotive service environment.
• One year of sales experience preferred.
• Must have basic knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for customers on the phone and in the store; engage customers, schedule appointments, build trust, and sell parts and services.
• Organize and manage service business through work orders and register transactions; knowledge of service and replacement parts.
• Assist in customer care, work order/register tasks, facility maintenance, and Outside Purchase ordering.
• Follow policies on cash, credit, refunds and returns; address customer issues and opportunities.
• Conduct express automotive services: tire mounting, balancing, rotations, oil changes, fluid top-offs, and vehicle inspections.
• Ensure safety procedures, wheel torque and oil/fluid services follow SOPs.
• Work with management to maintain a safe, compliant work environment.
• Communicate effectively with associates, management, and customers.
• In designated locations, may assist with opening and closing responsibilities.
• Maintain an organized and neat shop.
• Adhere to company policies, safety and environmental rules.
• Other duties as assigned.
